|"The Malamute is too fine and distinguished a breed to be Changed/altered into
anything but what centuries of adaptability to its environment has produced.
Our efforts should be to breed not only beautiful Malamutes, but as good
specimens physically as were originally found in Alaska. It isn't a question of
breeding a better Malamute, but just as good an ALASKAN MALAMUTE."

WINDSONG'S CLIMATE CONTROLLED NURSERY Built in 2007
Since we retired we are currently caring for our last retired
Malamutes and two male adult dogs (not Malamutes), in our
facilities. One of the male dogs had a terrible accident, his life
was spared but had his leg amputated...we nicknamed him
Tri-Pod. He is a very active 3+? year old and adapting well to
having only 1 back leg. His call name is Goober, he hops around
like a pogo stick with only one back leg. He has a heart of gold
and very smart. He is learning how to walk up the steps to our
deck. He came to us after his leg was removed. He seems
happy living/adjusting in our Nursery facilities. Considering the
age he is now he will probably out live us two retired old age
persons. Thank God that our feet still hit the floor every
morning when we awake and that Goober's life was
spared...what a fighting personality he had to survive.
